Finished. The girls and I did our own Paint Nite in the backyard. We used this painting as inspiration: "Fantasy Tree Landscape" by Luiza Vizoli http://www.artbyluizavizoli.com/fantasy-tree-landscape... The didn't turn out too bad for using plastic brushes and tempra paint.

Started with yellow circles, adding "C" shaped edges of orange.

Cool colors on the other side -- blues and greens

Then a dark purple to the edges and the first layer of the background is done. Next layer is some swirls of white to add texture.

We took a snack break for our backgrounds to dry. Then onto the next layer, the tree.

This is about the point that Madeline didn't want to paint anymore. The girls took a break to explore spiders in the backyard. I had her come over and make some final touches before I cleaned up. Artists should always sign their work!
